Wood is an excellent material from a quality and environmental perspective, so long as it is legally produced and comes from responsibly managed forests. Graefe only accepts wood that is legally logged and actively encourages the use of FSC certified products. When we use FSC certified wood, we can be certain that the manufacture of our products has not contributed to the destruction of the World's forests or come from companies involved in human rights abuses.
We are concerned with reducing any impact our business might have on the environment, and having examined all functions within both factory and office, have adopted an all encompassing environmentally friendly programme that has greatly improved our efficiencies.
However, even with the most efficient programmes, waste is inevitable. We are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to recycle our waste as an alternative to landfill.
